Kylie is a dedicated and compassionate nurse with 18 years’ experience. After graduating with a Bachelor of Nursing in New Zealand in 2006, she went on to complete post graduate qualifications in Nursing Leadership and Management at the University of Otago. Kylie is also a graduate of the Melbourne Business School Leadership Development Program.
With a strong focus on respiratory conditions, she received a clinical excellence award for implementing nurse led community respiratory clinics, creating seamless patient pathways across the primary and secondary care interface.
She has worked across both public and private sectors, rural and urban areas, undertaking the roles of Director of Nursing and Clinical Director for substantial primary health care organisations including General Manager for a Māori Health and Services Provider.
Moving to Australia in 2021, Kylie returned to clinical nursing and continued to focus on chronic disease management and prevention, while also conducting the role of Nurse Manager for three general practice clinics.
As the Nurse Navigator for the Lung Nodule Clinic, Kylie is passionate about being in a role that enables her to use her advanced clinical knowledge, assisting patients to navigate through the healthcare system and be part of a specialist team providing monitoring, management and surveillance for patients with lung nodules.
